ABOUT MICHELE
Michele Guidry, LCSW-BACS, brings more than 20 years of experience as a social worker, with a strong commitment to supporting individuals facing challenges related to addiction, trauma, grief, obesity, anxiety, and depression. Guided by a vision to create a private practice that integrates her clinical expertise across diverse settings—including mental health, addiction recovery, and hospice care—Michele partnered with Dr. Christian Dean in 2022 to bring this vision to life.
A 2003 graduate of the Tulane School of Social Work, Michele has provided care to children, adolescents, and adults throughout her career. In 2023, she earned her designation as a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor (BACS) to mentor and train licensed master social workers. She further enhanced her therapeutic approach by completing basic training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in May 2024.
Michele is dedicated to serving vulnerable populations impacted by systemic trauma. To increase accessibility, she accepts Medicaid and is currently pending acceptance for traditional Medicare. She also accepts most major insurance plans, private pay, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services. In addition, she provides mental health evaluations for select clients.
Known for her compassionate and unconventional therapeutic style, Michele takes pride in tailoring her services to meet the unique needs of each client. Her flexible scheduling ensures that clients can access support at times that work best for them.
